Two-time Grammy Award–winning bassist Oteil Burbridge has spent more than three decades touring and recording at the highest levels of modern music. Best known for his role in Dead & Company, Oteil has helped carry forward the Grateful Dead songbook on the world’s biggest stages—while also exploring a wide range of musical styles that extend far beyond any one catalog.

A founding member of the groundbreaking ’90s jazz-fusion group Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit, Oteil went on to become the longest-tenured bassist in the history of The Allman Brothers Band. His musical journey also includes The Toy Factory Project and countless collaborations across the jam, rock, funk, and soul worlds.
