Nantucket Music Foundation is excited to present its first free community show of the season with rising indie rock band The Bends.

Born out of dorm room demos and packed college house shows at LSU, The Bends are a Baton Rouge four-piece channeling the raw, electric spirit of early-2000s garage rock. With infectious hooks and a high-energy live presence, they’ve built their following the old-school way—one sweaty, sold-out room at a time. 

Since their first show in 2023, the band has quickly gained momentum—selling out venues across the country, climbing Spotify’s Viral charts with tracks like “Makeup,” and earning recognition on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation. Influenced by artists like The Strokes, Kings of Leon, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, they’re rapidly becoming one to watch. 

With appearances at major festivals like Lollapalooza this summer and support slots for Houndmouth and Ole 60 this spring, The Bends are bringing their breakout energy to Nantucket for a special one-night performance.
